My name is Nate Taylor and I serve as the Director of Youth Ministries at Avon Lake U.C.C. I began my ministry here in April of 2007. My primary responsibilities include overseeing and developing our youth ministries programs for students in grades 6-12. That includes our JH Youth Group, our Confirmation program and our SH Youth Group. Along with all of this I am responsible for overseeing our Adult Volunteer Team, our SH Student Leadership Team, two summer mission trips, several fundraisers including our Annual Cabin Fever Cornhole Tournament and Dog Wash, countless games of ping-pong, the extremely rare overnighter and many high-level meetings at Las Cazuelas. I am very active in the Ohio Conference’s Outdoor Ministries programs. I recently finished serving for eight years on the Division of Outdoor Ministries and will be looking forward to my 23rd summer at camp in 2014.
I am originally from Toledo, Ohio and first came to the greater Cleveland area in 1999 when I was a student at Baldwin-Wallace College. I graduated from B-W in 2003 with a degree in Sport Management and Business Administration. I truly enjoy life and everything about it but some of the more enjoyable things include being outside, canoeing, camping, road trips, gaga ball, watching lightning storms, air conditioning, hashtags, perch fishing, golf, soccer, photography, live music and live comedy. I love Cleveland’s sports teams! I think laughter is the best medicine. I enjoy meeting new people and working with all the amazing students I have had the chance to meet so far. I am married to my incredibly smart and beautiful wife, Lisa, and we reside in Lakewood.
